Diane has degrees in Saxophone Performance, Music education, and Jazz Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has over twenty five years of teaching and playing experience, and is a woodwind repair expert. She loves teaching beginners of all ages.

Carla has a B.A. at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado, and also has post graduate study of Oboe with Liviu Varcol, Frankfurt Radio Orchestra and David T. Abosch, Denver Symphony, as well as at Colorado College and UCCS. She has over forty years of playing experience in many ensembles in the Pikes Peak Region including the Pikes Peak Philharmonic, Pueblo Symphony and Chamber Orchestra of the Springs. She has taught elementary and middle school band, and had a private teaching studio and been a free lance musician for more than forty years.

Her students learn how to care for their reeds and instrument as they learn and improve their playing skills. She makes her own reeds, adjusts her students’ reeds, and can teach them how to make and adjust their own reeds

 

Sandra Tiemens - Flute, Piccolo

Sandra Tiemens hails from Rochester, MN.  She currently serves as a flutist and piccoloist of the Ft Collins Symphony.  She is completing a 20-year military career as a flutist and piccoloist in The USAFA Band.  She graduated cum laude from Lawrence University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Flute Performance.  She graduated cum laude from Lawrence University with the Bachelors of Music degree in Flute Performance and the Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics. She also holds the Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of North Texas, where she was the     winner of the 1997 Concerto Competition. She has been featured at four National Flute Association conventions and has participated in the Aspen and Texas Music Festivals. She has toured internationally as a member of The United States Air Force Academy Band.

Bob Braidwood - Saxophone

Bob has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance From S.M.U. He grew up locally, and was a high school all-American and played Sax in the National Jazz and Symphonic Bands. He has taught Saxophone at Graner Music since 1985. He strives to make music fun while preparing students for the level of honor bands and extracurricular music involvement. He consistently gets students placed in State level bands, and one year taught three of the five saxophone players in the All State Jazz Band.

 

Clarinet - Krista Robinson 

Krista desires her students to discover immense joy in the gift of music. She encourages beginners to master fundamentals of clarinet technique and general music theory for strong foundations; she offers experienced students the chance to refine their playing as they transition to more challenging levels of performance. 

Krista has degrees in English, education, and music. She has been a member of Rocky Mountain Wind Symphony, Colorado College Concert Band, and Little London Winds, as well as many other community ensembles. Over the past two decades, she has had the opportunity to teach music in K-8 classroom settings and in private lessons.

 

Clarinet - Ian Buckspan

Ian Buckspan is from Boulder, CO, and has taught clarinet for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor’s of Music in clarinet

performance from CU-Boulder, graduating Summa Cum Laude studying with Prof. Dan Silver. Ian has received 1st place

in numerous Young Artist competitions through his early career and has appeared as a featured soloist with such

orchestras as the Chamber, Orchestra of the Springs, the Boulder Philharmonic, the Arapahoe Philharmonic, and Denver

Young Artist Orchestra. He is the new clarinetist with Inside the Orchestra and has served as the

Associate Principal/Eb clarinet of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and has appeared with the

Colorado Symphony, Longmont Symphony, the Boulder Chamber Orchestra, the Air Force Academy

Band, and the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra.
